What We Do

Our Services

Advocacy

We offer advocacy, education, and support for our community members to live lives free from violence. We practice confidentiality, utilize trauma informed care, and strive to treat everyone with respect and dignity. Our empowerment philosophy is that everyone has the ability to foster healthy relationships and the right to self-determination.

The Starting Place Shelter

Our shelter helps people who are seeking safety from domestic violence, sexual assault, or stalking. Last year we provided safe, confidential refuge for 70 individuals. The Starting Place provides a 30-day temporary stay and is filled on a first come, first served basis.

Prevention

SAFE is committed to taking an up stream approach to ending domestic and sexual violence. We provide evidence-based healthy relationship curriculum in local schools, 40-hour advocate certification training for our volunteers, and topical trainings to community partners and groups.

We need your help to support survivors. Please consider donating today.
